You’ll arrive in Lachen – renowned worldwide for its untouched beauty. Standing at 2590 meters above sea level, this is the gateway into some of North Sikkim’s most spellbinding treks! It is a great starting point to amazing treks and home to two incredible alpine lakes – Guru Dongmar & Tso Lhamu. Plus did we mention that once upon a time Lachen was actually used as winter quarters by shepherds who tended yaks on Tibetan pastures during summer? What more could one ask for!?
Get ready for a breathtaking experience at Yumthang Valley, otherwise known as the ‘Valley of Flowers’. Located high up in Lachung at 3,564 meters above sea level and framed by mountains on all sides, this stunning destination is home to over 24 species of wonderfully vibrant Rhododendron flowers. Soak up an extra dose of ethereal beauty with a tributary from River Teesta meandering through it – you won’t want to miss out!

Not only will you be able to reconnect with Mother Nature, but you’ll also get a chance to experience the healing properties of its natural hot spring!
