Kicking things off, your trip begins with a scenic drive from Siliguri or Bagdogra to Lataguri, just near Gorumara National Park. Check into your resort, catch your breath, then head out for a jungle safari later in the day. Wildlife like elephants, leopards, and rhinos call this place home, and you'll be lucky to spot them on your ride. The day ends back at the resort with a good meal and some rest.
After breakfast, it's off to Jhallong and Bindu. These two spots near the Indo-Bhutan border give you stunning views. At Jhallong, the Jaldhaka River flows with grace, perfect for taking in the scenery. Then, there's Bindu, a calm village known for its cardamom fields and rolling landscapes. By the end of the day, you'll return to your cozy spot in Lataguri for the night.
A new day, a new adventure! Post-breakfast, you'll set out to explore Samsing and Suntalekhola. These peaceful villages offer sights of tea gardens, rivers, and hills that stay with you long after you leave. Next, it's on to Rocky Island, a haven for nature lovers. Your journey today leads to Lal Jhamela Basti, a village surrounded by green as far as the eye can see, with the Diana River flowing nearby. From there, you visit the tranquil Murti River, a lovely spot to just relax and maybe catch a glimpse of some birds. By evening, it's back to the resort for some quiet reflection on the days gone by.
After breakfast, it's time to check out. On the way back to Siliguri, there might be a chance to stop at the famous Coronation Bridge for one last scenic view of the Teesta River. And that's it!
